Video messages brought everyone together about Eleanor and Sean’s wedding

A romantic getaway led to a marriage proposal for Eleanor Mannix and Sean Nash.

They met one evening in Mallow, County Cork, in April 2018, and a little over two years later he asked the question in Kilkea Castle, Co. Kildare.

“We were walking around the castle grounds and I had no idea Sean was going to propose until he called me back and I saw he was on one knee by the riverside,” Eleanor said.

The Banteer Bride and Castletownroche Groom were married to Father Tadhg Fitzgerald at St. John’s Church, Tralee, Co. Kerry in June and received their reception at Ballyseede Castle, Tralee.

The bride’s mother and father, Margaret and Denis Mannix, and the groom’s parents, Breeda and Frank Nash, toasted their future.

At her side as maid of honor were Eleanor’s cousin Lisa Crowley, maid of honor, and her friends Aimee McMahon and Karen O’Donoghue, bridesmaids.

Sean’s boyfriend Thomas O’Neill was his best man, while his brother Frankie Nash teamed up with another friend, Kevin O’Riordan, to take on the role of best man.

Both the bride and groom were dying to tie the knot at a summer wedding, they added.

“We’ve been to Ballyseede Castle before and thought it would be perfect for our big day,” Eleanor said.

“Although we could only have 25 guests with restrictions, everyone went out of their way to make us feel special – from our family, the wedding party, friends and the wonderful staff at the amazing Ballyseede Castle that couldn’t have done more can help us in advance and on the big day. ”

Best man Thomas and maid of honor Lisa, with the help of the family, arranged video messages with congratulations for those who were unable to attend, which were played during the speeches.

Comedian Bernard Casey also played a key role in the fun. “Thomas arranged a video clip for Bernard Casey Comedy that contained details about both of us and our families. That was absolutely hilarious and again a nice surprise that we hadn’t expected, ”said the bride.
