The couple Andy Findlay and Bridgit Edmonstone, who met while working at Scottish Rural College, have unveiled their new concept of wedding car rental and hope that their business will wane as restrictions ease.

Bonnets and Boots is based in Aberdeenshire and covers weddings, elopements and events throughout northern Scotland. Bonnets and Boots offers a fun, stylish, and unique wedding car alternative.

The legendary Land Rover Series 3 in sage green from 1983, affectionately known as Olive, Bonnets and Boots, aims to add a sense of style and personality to the big day for brides and grooms and is guaranteed to attract attention and the guests to talk to bring.

With seating for up to six passengers, the Land Rover offers versatility for accommodating the wedding party.

Olive is accompanied by Babs, a mini toylander in the same color scheme, which delights the little wedding guests and offers great photo opportunities.

Future plans are in preparation, including offering other events such as picnics, suggestions and birthdays in collaboration with a local catering company.

Andy, a freelance instructor in the land based sector, and Bridgit, who has a long career in marketing, pride themselves on customer service and attention to detail.

In the restored Land Rover, the wedding party is pampered for their journey with luxurious blankets and a picnic basket with water and champagne.

The interior is decorated with twinkling lights, white roses and eucalyptus. The exterior is decorated with raffia and flowers in neutral colors, but can be customized according to customer requirements.

Andy said: “With the loosening of restrictions, the current trend towards relaxed, informal and intimate weddings and the demand in the market for ‘something different’, Bridgit and I have discovered a niche in the market, united our interests and the result is a unique package, which we hope is a great alternative for local couples. “
