There were a few supercars, rare post-war sports and racing cars: Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren F1, Pagani, Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini and Aston Martin … the list goes on. There was the US debut of the Calder BMW Art Car, an exact replica of the design by artist Alexander Calder that drove at Le Mans in 1975. There were also American muscle cars, a Ford Bronco, James Hunt’s F1 racing car and even a tiny pink Meyers Manx.
But the people are even more entertaining than the cars. There are BMW motorcycles and models in bandages that bend over and turn up loud. A girl in a ruffled mini skirt photographed every model she could find. Some ladies wore Ascot-style hats, others wore orange jumpsuits that looked like an homage to classic pit-girl fashion.
