Congratulations to Supercars host Jess Yates for welcoming her second child with partner Luke Egan.
Yates announced the arrival of her son on Saturday afternoon via Instagram.
“Our Easter blessing,” she wrote.
“Introducing Samuel Lewis Egan – perfect in every way.”
The newborn is the couple’s second child and joins their eight-year-old daughter, Isabella.
Yates announced that she and Egan were expecting last December.
Partner and professional surfer Egan also shared pictures of the arrival of their newborn on Instagram, revealing that Yates gave birth last Tuesday.
“On 3/30/21 @jessyates and I welcomed our second baby,” he wrote.
“Named after his master grandfather Sam Egan.
“When we brought Samuel home from the hospital yesterday, our household immediately felt complete with his presence.”
As expected, Yates will miss the next event in Tasmania April 17-18.
Supercars will use existing talent to cover Yates’ absence.
The popular Fox Sports presenter has been running Supercars programs since 2015.
The 2021 season marks its seventh season hosting the category.
The Repco Supercars Championship field will return to the Symmons Plains April 17-18 for the Beaurepaires Tasmania SuperSprint. Tickets are on sale now.
The event will be broadcast live on Foxtel and streamed on Kayo.
