2021 Supercars Bathurst 1000 – Start Time, Watch, Channel & More

Bathurst Week is getting bigger than ever this year, with track action for a jam-packed undercard starting on Tuesday.

Support categories include GT World Challenge Australia, S5000, TCR Australia, Super2, Carrera Cup, Toyota 86s, Trans Am and Touring Car Masters.

Supercars then hit the track on Thursday with the first of six hours of training.

Three of them are dedicated to co-pilots, while the starting grid for the Great Race is determined by the regular qualifying on Friday evening and the top 10 shootout on Saturday evening.

The race itself will begin later than ever, with lights at 12:15 pm local time and plans for a twilight finish.

Shane van Gisbergen / Garth Tander, Jamie Whincup / Craig Lowndes, Anton De Pasquale / Tony D’Alberto, Chaz Mostert / Lee Holdsworth and Cam Waters / James Moffat go into the week as favorites before the race.

When is the Bathurst 1000?

Track action begins on Tuesday morning at 8:40 a.m. AEDT with V8 SuperUtes training, while the first race of the weekend is the Touring Car Masters Trophy Race on Wednesday at 8:55 a.m. AEDT.

The first Supercars practice takes place on Thursday at 10 a.m., before qualifying takes place on Friday at 4:35 p.m. AEDT and the top 10 shootout on Saturday at 5:05 p.m. AEDT.

The Bathurst 1000 begins Sunday at 12:15 p.m. AEDT.

  • 16: 25-17: 25 Supercars – Training 2 (passenger only)

Friday 3rd December

  • 10: 40-11: 40 Supercars – Exercise 3 (passenger only)
  • 13: 30-14: 30 Supercars – Exercise 4
  • 16: 35-17: 15 Supercars – Qualifying

Saturday 4th December

  • 10: 15-11: 15 Supercars – Exercise 5 (passenger only)
  • 12: 15-13: 15 Supercars – Exercise 6
  • 17:05 Supercars – Top 10 Shootout

Sunday 5th December

  • 09: 10-09: 30 Supercars – warming up
  • 12:15 p.m. Supercars – Bathurst 1000

How can I see the Bathurst 1000?

  • Channel: Fox Sports 506, Channel 7

Tuesday’s sessions will not be televised.

Fox Sports will broadcast all sessions live on Wednesday and Thursday, with coverage starting at 8:25 a.m. AEDT on both days.

On Friday, Fox Sports’ live coverage begins at 8:20 a.m. AEDT, while Channel 7’s free to air live coverage begins at 10:30 a.m. AEDT.

On Saturday the broadcast starts at 8:20 a.m. AEDT on Fox Sports and 10:30 a.m. AEDT on Channel 7 and on Sunday at 8:15 a.m. AEDT on Fox Sports and 8:30 a.m. AEDT on Channel 7.

Can I stream the Bathurst 1000?

The Bathurst 1000 can be streamed live via subscription streaming services Foxtel Go and Kayo.

The free to air coverage can also be viewed on 7Plus.

Viewers outside Australia and New Zealand can watch through Supercars’ SuperView service.
