Police are looking for witnesses after a 74-year-old man died when his electric scooter collided with two parked cars.
The man was on the road when he collided with the cars, Greater Manchester police said.
The incident occurred on New Years Day on Springfield Road in Tameside around 1:40 p.m.
Rescue workers declared the man dead at the scene. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
Sergeant Marie Eldred of the GMP Major Collision Investigation Unit has requested witnesses.
“Our thoughts stay with the man’s family who have come to terms with this incredibly tragic loss,” she said.
“This collision happened in the middle of the day so we hope there will be a number of witnesses who have dashcam or CCTV footage.”
