After the publication of an illustrated book dedicated to the Porsche 911, teNeues decided to present the automotive achievements of another luxury brand.
The family-run German company has just published a comprehensive new tome, simply titled The Jaguar Book, detailing the British automaker’s legacy over the past century.
The 271-page hardcover is bursting with breathtaking images taken by the renowned car photographer René Staud. The pictures are presented with texts by Jürgen Lewandowski, who initiated, wrote and published more than 100 books on automobile history.

In terms of content, the book offers a nice tour of the entire Jaguar collection, along with highlights from Jag’s racing history. A large part is of course dedicated to the company’s founder William Lyons, who made Jaguar one of the most respected manufacturers in the world. In the late 1930s, Lyons designed and built the SS 100, which was considered one of the most beautiful and successful cars of its time. (He was also the first to wear the now famous Jaguar jump car on the bonnet.) Lyons was responsible, among many other models, for the incomparable E-Type that made the Jaguar name a legend.

Almost 100 years later, the four-wheelers roll out of the factory in Whitley, Coventry, and still exude that signature British flair and innovation. The book covers Jaguar’s first electric car, the I-Pace, along with a number of other modern vehicles.
The tome even describes Jag’s many film appearances, such as the E-Type covered in a Union Jack that appeared in, for example, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. It also lists prominent owners like soccer legend David Beckham and the British royal family. You may remember Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, who drove away from their wedding reception in a restored E-Type.
The Jaguar Book costs a whopping $ 100 and is available on Amazon and is a welcome addition for any Jag fan.
