An award-winning luxury car rental in Inverness is getting ready for the wedding fever next year.

D&E Prestige car rental
is enjoying a booking boom as new dates are set for weddings that are postponed this year due to the coronavirus.

Company director Amy Nicholson said the company – voted Scotland’s best wedding van of the year in January – is looking forward to its first wedding next month since the lockdown.

“It will be in Inverness and we have another one in town in November,” she said.

“But we are busy with bookings for 2021.

“Couples who are forced to postpone their weddings due to lockdown regulations are now setting their new dates and booking their wedding cars.”

The company’s Rolls-Royce Phantom is in particular demand, while the fleet also includes a BMW 7 Series Extra Long, a seven-seater Mercedes and a Range Rover Vogue, which come with disinfectant and face masks and are cleaned daily with antiviral mist.

“It’s good that so many people can look forward to a happy day now, especially those who have been disappointed this year,” said Ms. Nicholson, whose husband Mark plays the bagpipes, also at weddings.

“Bookings now are very encouraging and we have already booked several for 2022. That is a boost after the forced cancellations. “

The company is planning a wedding in Banffshire this fall and has recently taken some reservations from the Glasgow area.

The company also offers chauffeur-driven luxury service to Highland visitor attractions, but has written off this year’s tourist season.
