Bride wears a tie dress to save money on a unique wedding [VIDEO]

A bride and her groom in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, decided to have a simple wedding in which the lady of the moment wore a dress made of ties.

A Citizen TV report on Sunday October 18 showed that Damacqueline and her husband were married to save the environment.

The unique affair avoided products that would pollute the environment, including plastic bottles and luxury luxury cars.

The couple instead came to the event on horses and wore clothes made from recycled items such as ties for the bride.

The wedding guests arrived on handcarts, popularly known as mkokoteni, and bicycles.

Tables and chairs were also made from grass, sisal and old car tires at the event, while the cooking fuel was biogas from cattle waste.

“This wedding is supposed to protect the environment because we have recognized worldwide that events are a source of environmental pollution.”

“For example, recycling clothes. You can recycle and recycle old jeans or clothes. Our bride put on recycled clothes from ties today because they can still be used as ties. They served a purpose,” explained one of the guests .

Guests were also amazed at the edible plates, cups and spoons that were used at the event to consume the cutlery after dinner.

“Imagine all the money that was saved without using the ordinary white dress,” added the guest.

Speaking to the press about the wedding, which was organized by students from Moi University, the bride noted that the goal was to save the environment.

“You can see that our theme is ‘Recycle, Reduce and Reuse’ written,” she noted.

The wedding is a stark contrast to other weddings that consume millions of shillings and leave the site littered with environmentally harmful products.

Most of the brides’ dresses cost several hundred thousand, and arrival at the venues is often aimed at eye-catching with luxury cars such as limousines.
