Bride’s day ruined after she wakes from wedding night to find car stolen from venue

A bride was left heartbroken after the best day of her life when she woke to find her car had been stolen.

The woman had been getting married at a wedding venue in Darwen yesterday (March 11) but woke up to find the car had been taken during the night. Lancashire Constabulary have not named the wedding venue in the appeal that they have issued after the incident.

They described the incident as ‘particularly callous’ and said the best day of the bride’s life had been ruined as a result. The car stolen is a white Ford Fiesta with the registration plate EAI7 SWK. You can see a picture of the vehicle in question shared by police below.

A spokesperson for police issued a short statement. They said: “We don’t normally do this, but this is particularly callous. The owner of this car got married yesterday in Darwen. The best day of her life was ruined when she discovered her car stolen from the venue overnight.”
