Bumper gallery of pictures as thousands of petrol-heads flock to Stockton for Supercar Saturday

Thousands of Teesside petrol-heads turned out in force to see a whole host of high powered sports cars for the return of Supercar Saturday at Stockton.

From a Ferrari 488 Pista, a Ford GT to a McLaren 600LT Spider, car-lovers were also able to ogle at the ‘millionaire’s row’ of luxury vehicles which descended on the town this weekend. Onlookers were able to enjoy a 40-car lap convoy around Stockton High Street where they could hear the vehicles roar into action.

Around 80 high-performance, vintage and classic cars were parked up on the High Street and Bishop Street car park for people to view and enjoy throughout the day. There was also a range of motorbikes on display as well as bike safety talks from Ridercraft Motor Bike Training School.

This is the first time a ‘Millionaires’ Row’ featuring 40 rarely seen, luxury cars such as the Ferrari 488 Pista and Ford GT with a combined worth of over £500,000 were on display. Pictures show petrol-heads of all ages parading through the parked-up super cars as they find out more about the engine and interiors.

The event is organized by JPC Specialist Motorsports in partnership with Stockton Borough Council. Access to the High Street has been restricted since 9.30am and will remain that way until 4pm. Access to bus stops and the taxi rank at the southern end of the High Street will be restricted from 12 noon – 1pm, diverted to Prince Regent Street, to allow the convoy to take place.

Knowles Street will also be closed from 6am on Saturday, May 7 until 4pm that day. The High Street and Bishop Street car parks will also be closed from 6pm on Friday, May 6 until 6pm on Saturday, May 7.
