Custom photo tours in vintage cars now on sale in Edinburgh as Friends are teaming up to start new business

But now, after several joint projects, they may have created a real winner for the Instagram age – by offering bespoke photo tours of Edinburgh’s most beautiful vistas … all from the back of iconic cars like a ’64 Cadillac.

Edinburgh Photography Adventures offers a tour of the city and photography classes from John’s 11-person fleet of sedans and classic cars, including a 1955 Arizona Lincoln.

Open cars are also included, but of course these depend on the city’s weather.

Now the two are joining forces to start what they hope will be a fun activity for visitors to try out while in the capital.

John said, “I’ve always had a passion for classic cars as a hobby, so it’s great to be able to use them for this business and bring them back to life.”

He has been running Edinburgh Classic Wedding Cars for three years but previously worked for another private car company for 11 years.

“/> Tony will be teaching photography skills during the tours.

There will also be two other chauffeurs, along with John, who have completed tourist training and licensing and will be able to share their own knowledge of Edinburgh with visitors.

Tony has over 25 years of experience capturing everyone from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Keira Knightley and working as a photo editor for various regional and national newspapers.

He has also received various awards over the years including winning Scottish News Photographer of the Year and Kodak Wedding and Portrait Photographers of the Year 2010.

He said, “People have always told me to share my skills, knowledge and passion for photography with others. Photography has become so popular now, but a lot of people don’t know how to make the most of it. That’s why it’s great when I can inspire other people to do it. “

Tony and John aim to cover the main tourist attractions and also want to take their customers to lesser known nooks and crannies that make for good pictures.

The tours can be carried out according to the interests of an individual or a group if necessary. Prices start at £ 400 for a minimum of three hours.

The entrepreneurs have plans to expand into different areas of Scotland in the future. Currently, Edinburgh tours can be booked either at tonymarshphotography.com or by calling 07738462808.
