Lisa Ferguson, owner of LJ Events by lj in Kinghorn, wants to help a well-deserved couple who suffered a blow during the pandemic.
The wedding and event decorator gives the opportunity to someone who might otherwise not get married.
She said, “I thought we had everything we need in one place to host a deserving couple who would like to get married but don’t have the resources to host a free ceremony.
My brother cut me out of his wedding photos because he wouldn’t adhere to the dress code – but why should I buy something new?
“Amy King Bridal offers the wedding dress while Jennifer of Kirk Wynd Highland House offers the kilt rental.
“Cally Forbes of Silver Threads agreed to hold the ceremony, Joanne Morton, owner of JCM Beauty Studio, offered to do the bridal makeup, Piper Dean Saunders Piper will lead the bride to the altar, and I will do the decorations cover. ”
To win this chance, the couple must be featured on their Facebook page.
The person nominating the couple is also expected to provide the reason for the win.
The competition is now open and ends on August 13th.
She said, “I knew from my own experience how hard this particular industry was hit by Covid, so my thinking process was – let’s put on a massive fayre, help as many companies in the industry as possible while putting Kirkcaldy back on the High Street Map.”
“There will be plenty of stalls with everything from favors, cakes, vintage wedding cars and venues to bridal wear, decorations, photographers and entertainment.”
The actual wedding ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 23, at 1 p.m. in the shopping center.
Lisa has said the event will adhere to all health and safety and Covid guidelines while promising a spectacular event.
The mall will host The Wedding & Events Fantastia on October 22nd and 23rd and is free.
It will feature over 40 suppliers from across the wedding industry.
