groom and friends hang out of cars during wedding procession; Gets Rs 2 lakh challan

Doing stunts on the public roads is illegal but people keep on repeating the offense every other day. A groom and his friends in a wedding procession got a challan of Rs 2 lakh after violating the traffic rules. The incident is from Muzzafar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.

The groom’s wedding procession was going through the city roads. There were several vehicles in the procession including an Audi A3 Cabriolet and A6, and A4 sedans. There were a total of 9 vehicles in the convoy and we could also spot a few Mahindra Scorpios and a Jaguar XF.

The police action came after a social media user Ankit Kumar shared the video of the convoy on Twitter. The procession was coming from Haridwar to its destination in Noida.

Muzaffarnagar Police shared the information on the social media platform as well. According to the police, they issued a fine of Rs 2.02 lakh on the nine vehicles that were in that convoy.

The video shows people hanging outside the sunroof and windows and dancing on the public roads. The groom himself was standing in the Audi A3 Cabriolet with its roof down. People were also taking selfies while hanging out of the vehicles.

We are not sure if the police have also registered a case against the violators.

Stunts illegal on public roads

Doing any kind of stunt on public roads is highly illegal and the violators can even go to jail along with paying massive fines. Doing stunts on public roads can land you in a spot due to various reasons. If anyone wants to practice stunting or want to record videos, it should be done on private property such as race tracks and even farmhouses. Also, one should take note that such stunts are extremely dangerous.

The cops are now using viral videos to issue challans. This is not the first such incident in Ghaziabad where the offenders were tracked using video footage. In the past, two girls doing stunts on Royal Enfield motorcycles and youths doing stunts on Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza received challan from the police on the basis of viral videos.

The video of the youths shows them sitting on the bonnet of the vehicle while it is moving through the traffic. Both the youngsters are clicking pictures and also talk to each other while the vehicle keeps on moving. None of them is wearing any kind of safety equipment like a helmet or protective gear like a knee pad or elbow protectors. Any mishap can go wrong during such stunts. Imagine just slipping down from the bonnet while the vehicle keeps on moving. It can end in a disaster.
