A wedding marquee erected for a reception in south Dublin has been removed by a judge.
The marquee at a location on Burton Road in Leopardstown was supposed to hold the wedding reception for a couple who got married in Co Armagh this morning.
But earlier today, the groom’s father, Michael Connors, was told that the marquee would need to be removed or the local authority would have permission to move in and do it instead.
The marquee appears to be removed this afternoon from where several Garda cars and vans are currently present.
The planned wedding reception violates the provisions of COVID-19 – from Monday up to fifty people can attend weddings, but after that no more than 15 people can attend an outdoor celebration, while only 6 people can attend an indoor reception .
