Months before his wedding, the BMW driver investigated the death of a “friendly” father

A driver is under investigation for a devastating early morning accident that kills a loved one.

Andy Kelly was killed in the two vehicle accident at Anfield ten months ago while on his way to work.

The 37-year-old suffered fatal injuries and died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

It has now been revealed how the police are treating the tragedy as a criminal matter and are investigating the incident as an incident in which dangerous driving causes death.

The driver of a BMW who crashed into a red Vauxhall Corsa with Mr. Kelly, a passenger in the back seat, was interviewed by detectives.

The Netherton man was arrested on suspicion of death from dangerous driving, police have confirmed for the first time.

At the time, friends were discussing how Mr. Kelly, who had a very young son, was preparing to tie the knot with his girlfriend in late summer.

They described him as “kind and gentle”.

The BMW driver stopped at the scene of the accident.
