Rodin Cars is the Naming Rights Partner of the Super GT series

Rodin Cars has been announced as the Naming Rights Partner for the opening season of the Super GT Series, which begins in January 2022 at Highlands Motorsport Park.

Launched by motorsport promoter Speed Works Events, the Rodin Cars Super GT Series will be the most exciting new category to see on New Zealand circuits in a long dimension to next summer’s motorsport calendar.

“We are very pleased that a company like Rodin Cars is supporting and committed to the Super GT NZ series,” says Category Manager Grant Smith.

“Rodin Cars does some amazing things in motorsport and we look forward to working with you and learning more about their Rodin FZED and Rodin FZERO cars that are currently in development.”

“The Rodin Cars Super GT Series will be New Zealand’s premier motorsport class this summer, and it will be quite a spectacle when these 30 Super GT cars take their first turn in the Highlands in January.”

Rodin Cars – New Zealand’s supercar maker – is currently developing single-seat racing cars for the global high-performance car market from its North Canterbury headquarters.

David Dicker, founder of Rodin Cars, says that as a New Zealand manufacturer he wants to support and promote the New Zealand-based motorsport industry and sees the Super GT Series as the perfect category to align with.

“The Rodin Cars Super GT Series seems like a really great category for New Zealand supercar owners and all car enthusiasts,” says David Dicker.

“I love racing and have been racing for years. The opportunity to support a new racing series in New Zealand seemed like a good chance to develop the motorsport industry down here, and also a great opportunity for us to show everyone what we build in our New Zealand manufacturing facility. We look forward to bringing the Rodin FZED out onto the track for some demonstrations at the events. “

During the season, the Rodin FZED will be presented to participants and fans alike, including demonstrations on the track.

Cars in two classes compete in the Rodin Cars Super GT Series, including Porsche, McLaren, Ginetta, Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin and Ferrari.

The Rodin Cars Super GT Series will consist of four races over three months from January 15, 2022 in the Highlands in Cromwell.

This is followed by round two at Mike Pero Motorsport Park, Ruapuna in Christchurch from January 22nd to 23rd, before going to Hampton Downs from February 12th to 13th. The finals will take place in Taupo from March 26-27, 2022.
