Son does not invite his mother to his wedding, but she visits and sees another woman posing as her – story of the day

My son decided not to invite me to his wedding because I was lame and poor, but I went anyway. What I discovered shook me to the bone.

My son Joshua lives a long way from me. He grew up in this village, but once he graduated from college he started avoiding this place and me like the plague.

In the beginning he was always visiting, but after a while he gave up on that too. Over the years we have slowly drifted apart and while I did my best to avoid it, it happened anyway.

One day I decided to surprise him by visiting. It was a long journey from the village to the city, but I didn’t mind; I just wanted to see my son.

When I got to his neighborhood there was fanfare and the street was lined with eye-catching cars of all shapes and sizes. I even saw one with vertically opening doors. It was all new to me, but nothing prepared me for what to expect as my cab pulled me closer to my destination.

It seemed like we were following the long line of cars on the side of the road, and to my surprise, it led to my son. When the taxi dropped me off, I was attacked by a picture of my handsome boy smiling happily next to a beautiful woman.

The image was printed on a poster announcing their wedding. The realization that my son was going to get married without my knowing it broke my heart.

I hadn’t recovered from the shock when I looked past the open gates. Inside, the ceremony was in full swing, there were hundreds of people, but the couple stood on a high pedestal when a priest officiated their union.

I rarely heard them exchange vows because all I could think of was how sad it was to have a child who didn’t want anything to do with me. I noticed an elderly woman standing next to the podium in an area reserved for family members, but I only glanced at her.

Tears rolled down my cheek as I watched the gay affair, but just as I decided to go inside and try to speak to my boy, I was seen by security guards caught exchanging vows.

I looked like a beggar no doubt, so he quickly signaled reinforcements in case it went south.

“What do you want, you old woman?” the headguard asked.

“I’m here to speak to my son!” I answered hastily. The guard, whose label announced him as Thomas, mocked him, full of doubt.

“Nice try, old lady, but I doubt anyone in there could have a mother who looks like this,” he pointed out. “Why don’t you tell me why you are really here?”

As he spoke, his colleagues began to surround me, and we were slowly getting attention from the guests, who kept glancing towards the entrance where we were.

I knew they wanted to end the disturbance quickly and I wasn’t going to go under so easily, so I took a deep breath and called out my son’s first name.

They pounced on me, but I just kept screaming. I put all my anger and desperation into it, hoping he would hear my whining and hoping he was still human enough to take care of it.

After a few seconds I was overwhelmed and was about to be removed when my son appeared at the gate, disturbed. When he saw me he blushed and looked at the headguard, which clearly thought he was angry.

“Who is that?” He asked with a frown. I thought he just wouldn’t recognize me, so I tried to get his attention. “Joshua,” I said, “It’s Mommy, look at me.”

But he wouldn’t. He held his back to me as he whipped the headguard with his tongue for allowing such commotion to disturb the wedding. To me he said, “This is a wedding ma’am, not a homeless shelter. Go now while I’m nice.”

His words tore me apart. How could he be so insensitive? I freed myself from my kidnappers, confused at that moment, and grabbed my son by the sleeve. “Let me go, you hideous woman!” he cried.

By then, a crowd had already gathered so he couldn’t afford to treat me roughly. “He is my son!” I shouted. “He has a birth scar on his left thigh!” My son would have denied it, but his wife, Carly, had seen the scar and she spoke.

“Are you really his mother?”

“Yes,” I answered sadly.

“But how can that be?” asked Carly. “Steve introduced me to this woman as his mother,” she added, pointing to the woman I had noticed earlier.

Carly needed proof, so she turned to the woman she thought was Steve’s mother and asked her if Joshua really had a scar on his thigh. The woman couldn’t answer, so Carly found out who the real mother was.

“Is she really your mother?” Carly asked my son. She seemed sad.

Steve hesitated before saying, “I was afraid that if you met my mother you would leave me.” His voice was trembling.

It turns out that Steve hired this woman to take my place. The thought made me even sadder. But Carly was furious and couldn’t accept Steve’s deception.

“I can accept your mother, but I cannot accept your behavior. You lied to me. If you can be ashamed of your mother, then how can I be sure that you will not be ashamed of me in the future? want to marry a man like you! “

It was the last thing she said on the subject, and after that she returned his ring and parted with it. We left there together, but because she was way too excited, we parted ways after she checked me into a hotel.

The next day she came back and drove me to my home in the country. I thanked her for everything she had done and she left with my phone number. I think she came to an end in our conversations as she processed the breakup because we talked more on the phone afterwards.

Her own parents had died in a car accident when she was younger, so she enjoyed pretending I was her mother. I didn’t mind the way I saw it, I had lost a son and had a daughter. One who was not ashamed to be seen with me.

We became close friends, and Carly visited me almost every month, even though she was no longer with my son, who was sulking and bitter and lonely in his apartment until the end.

  • Never be ashamed of your family background. Joshua left the village and never returned because his mother was lame and poor. Instead of helping her get better, he decided to leave her and find a replacement for her during his wedding.
  • Lying ruins relationships. Joshua lost his fiancée because of his lies. He didn’t introduce her to his real mother, but instead got an actress to impress his wife.
