The wedding ceremonies will continue this weekend at the Lichfield Registration Office.
The venue will have a reduced number of guests and social distancing arrangements to allow services to begin tomorrow (July 4th).
Staffordshire County Council said the Lichfield ceremonies would be limited to the couple and 17 guests.
Cllr Gill Heath, Staffordshire County Council Cabinet Member for Parishes, said:
“Our registration staff have worked very hard during incredibly challenging times, but it’s good to see wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships resume.
“Unfortunately, those who want to tie the knot are still not allowed to have a grand wedding reception or celebration, but they can hold their wedding ceremony.
“For ceremonies at our five registration offices, all additional precautions are taken with regards to social distancing, hand disinfection and the use of PPE to ensure everyone’s safety.
“We’re also reducing the number of guests allowed in each of our offices to ensure we adhere to social distancing.
“While we will do our best to make everything as safe as possible, we would like to invite wedding guests and members of parties to do their part by following all instructions.”
