Sir, I have been driving an all-electric car for six years now, and gone are the days when I was the only one charging my vehicle; it is now often the case that I have to wait in a queue. As you report, there are simply not enough charging points (“Electric cars fail to spark charge point revolution”, Jan 26). The government is already failing in its commitment to build 300,000 charging points by 2030. Fewer than 9,000 were commissioned last year, with a national total of only 37,680 charging points.
