Ezz Elarab Automotive Group, the only importer and exclusive distributor of Volvo vehicles in Egypt, recently announced the opening of the newest showroom for the Swedish brand in One Katameya, East Cairo. The presentation was attended by senior executives from Volvo Cars International, the board and management of the Ezz Elarab Automotive Group and a selection of media representatives.
Gerhard Kreindl, Head of Retail and Business Development for Volvo Cars in Europe, Middle East and Africa, told Daily News Egypt during the inauguration ceremony that Volvo Cars is keen to expand in Egypt by launching all-electric vehicles as soon as possible installed in the country that there are plans to do so.
“Volvo is also planning to introduce electric vehicles to the Saudi market, the Saudi government in particular is very interested in the project and offers a well-established infrastructure,” said Kreindl.
The showroom was designed according to the international standards of the Volvo brand, referred to as “The Volvo Retail Experience”. The goal behind the new showroom is to focus on providing the best possible and most customized customer experience. In addition, the brand also wants to show the latest models and innovative solutions that are added to their vehicles. It is worth mentioning that at this launch, Volvo Egypt presented its latest model, the XC60 facelift. This marks its first appearance in Volvo showrooms across Egypt. For the first time in Egypt, the newest Volvo showroom has a children’s area to offer customers a more comfortable experience. It also offers delivery services for newly purchased cars, test drives and a parking lot for visitors. The showroom is fully furnished with pieces imported from Sweden to meet the luxury brand’s international standards.
“The opening of Volvo’s newest showroom in East Cairo is a great start for 2022, it is part of our expansion plan across Egypt and reflects the strong presence of our company. It also counts as a new step we have taken with the Swedish brand in recent years. We are constantly working to raise the standards of car ownership through our modern showrooms and the luxury brands we deal in Egypt. I’m proud to have Volvo as one of them,” said Hisham Ezz Elarab, Chairman of the Ezz Elarab Automotive Group.
The Volvo showroom is located in a prime location in East Cairo to offer exclusive access to local residents. It is characterized by its accessibility, since it is located directly on the ring road. Covering an area of 390 square meters, One Kattameya Showroom is considered to be the largest Volvo exhibition in Egypt. It can accommodate the entire range of models on display and has a dedicated area for cars with accessories.
