VOLUSIA COUNTY, Florida – A major crash resulted in I-95 going north being locked in Volusia County on Sunday afternoon.
3:45 p.m. Update:
The crash has cleared up and traffic is moving in the area again.
The officials have not yet confirmed how many people were injured or how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
2 p.m. update:
A single lane has been reopened in the area and drivers are starting to move past the crash site.
Major traffic safety continues on I-95 in the Ormond Beach area.

A serious accident closed the lanes north of Interstate 95 in Volusia County on Sunday afternoon.

The multiple vehicle accident occurred around 12.20 p.m. near mile marker 272.
All lanes of the motorway to the north are closed as first responders and a Life Flight helicopter react to the crime scene.

How many vehicles are involved or how many people were injured is unclear.
Traffic cameras in the area show some people from their cars on the side of the road as drivers cannot leave the area.
