A DRINK driver fell into a river with the car landing upside down in the water.
The incident took place on New Year’s Eve in Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds. The picture shared on Twitter by the Cotswolds Police shows the overturned car in the Windrush River.

A black mini was pictured on its roof in the water near the shore while police officers watched on the scene.
A Cotswolds Police spokesman said: “Parking at Bourton on the Water has always been a problem, but we do not recommend parking in the water. The driver was arrested on the side of the road after a positive breath test.”
