A Carlisle youth caught driving illegally on residential streets in the city was fined and charged a total of £ 130.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, committed two crimes on March 26, the city’s Rickergate juvenile court heard.
He pleaded guilty to driving uninsured and driving in a manner that was not covered by a valid driver’s license.
The court heard that the defendant was caught driving illegally on Arnside Road and Penine Way. The teenager originally denied any wrongdoing but changed his pleading to guilty.
In addition to fines of £ 50 and £ 30, the teen was told he would have to pay law enforcement costs of £ 50. The judges also imposed a three-month driving ban. The guilty admissions were taken into account.
