Boy seriously injured taken to hospital after being hit by a car

A child is hospitalized in severe condition after being hit by a car in Hyde.

Rescue workers were called to Talbot Road around 5:40 p.m. tonight after a serious collision was reported.

The boy, whose age has not been confirmed, was taken to the hospital with severe head and chest injuries, police said.

No arrests were made and an investigation has been opened by GMP.

There is currently a large police scene on Talbot Road that has been taped for the public.

Oakfield Road is also closed.

A GMP spokesman said: “At around 5:40 pm, the police were called to report a collision between a car and a child on Talbot Road in Hyde.

“The ambulance was present and the child was taken to hospital with severe head and chest injuries.

“No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

“Talbot Road and Oakfield Road are currently closed.”

Neighbors describe the incident as “disturbing”

A neighbor who witnessed the consequences of the crash described the scenes as “disturbing”.
She said, “I saw the police cars and they all came out. It’s annoying when it’s a kid, but it had to happen on this street sooner or later. “

Eyewitnesses report seeing an ambulance

An eyewitness said she saw an ambulance land near the crime scene at around 6.15 p.m.

One child was hospitalized with severe head and chest injuries, police confirmed.
