A two car accident on the M60 created an afternoon of misery along the Salford motorway.
The accident occurred this afternoon (September 4) at around 1:40 p.m. on the counterclockwise lane between Exit 11 at Barton and Exit 10 at Trafford Center.
Two lanes were initially closed on the road, before one lane was released again after around 15 minutes.

But even though traffic could pass the collision, drivers had long delays reversing up to junction 15 of the M61 near Walkden and Swinton.
Soon, eight kilometers of queues were forming along the freeway, and motorists had to wait 35 minutes to pass the Salford route.
Police officers were on duty, along with motorway officials. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it was absent.
A National Highways spokesman wrote on Twitter: “Following the incident on the M60 counterclockwise between Junction 11 and Junction 10, there are currently delays of 30 minutes over normal travel times and five miles of traffic jam.
“Road users are advised to plan additional time for their journeys.

“A lane has been closed due to a collision. The traffic officials are currently on site, and rescue workers are on their way to the area to help.”
Pictures from the crime scene showed that there were traffic jams in the area for several hours.
Eventually the collision was cleared and all lanes were cleared again by 3:45 p.m., but the queues remained for almost another hour.
The Greater Manchester Police Department has been asked for an opinion.
