Driver cut out of car by firefighters after smashing Huddersfield road

After an accident on Wakefield Road in Huddersfield, a driver had to be pulled out of his car by firefighters.

The accident is said to have occurred today (Sat) shortly before 7 p.m. near Grayes Dental Care.

The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service announced that two vehicles were involved in the accident and that one person was trapped in their car.

Firefighters tried to get the person out of the car before handing them over to the emergency services.

An update posted to the West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service Incident Log read: “Two vehicle collision in road traffic with a person trapped in one of the cars.

“The injured was rescued by local firefighters and handed over to waiting paramedics. Devices from Huddersfield were present.”
