Car blocking the sidewalk in Fordingbridge had expired MOT

A car that “completely blocks” a sidewalk in Fordingbridge has been found to have a MOT that expired more than two years ago.

Police received complaints from residents about the clogging of the sidewalk and found that the vehicle’s MOT had expired in March 2019.

A post on Facebook by the Ringwood Police Department said: “Following complaints from residents in Fordingbridge about obstruction to the sidewalk from parked vehicles, this car was found completely blocking the path and had an MOT that expired in March 2019.”

A £ 100 fine was imposed.

The post added: “When parking, please think about the accessibility and safety of the disabled, the elderly and those with young children. Your comfort can seriously affect the daily well-being of those who need our support most.

“Imagine how difficult that made the journey for someone with a visual impairment.”
