Katie Price’s family is concerned for their mental health over reports of a car accident

Katie Price’s family are concerned for their “wellbeing and general mental health” after it was reported that the TV personality was involved in a car accident in Sussex on Tuesday.

The sun reported that the former glamor model was rushed to hospital after the incident.

Sussex Police said a 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving after a collision on the B2135 near Partridge Green while she was over the legal limit for alcohol and drugs.

Price recently confirmed that she is banned from driving.

In a statement shared on Instagram, her family said: “As a family, we have been concerned about Kate’s wellbeing and general mental health for some time.

“Today our worst fears have almost been fulfilled. As a family, we have been and will be helping Kate get the help she needs. We hope that she will realize that she cannot cope with her problems on her own.

“We ask the media and the general public to give Kate the time and space she needs to seek the treatment she needs so that she can hopefully return to the Kate we know and love as a mother, daughter and sister . “

A policeman with the Sussex Streets Police Unit tweeted a photo of a car turned on its side at the scene of the accident.

PC Tom Van Der Wee wrote: “Fortunately, the vehicle occupant is generally fine. The road is closed while we are recovering the vehicle. “

Police later confirmed that the road was opened again at 9:26 a.m.

Price appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Monday, saying she was banned from driving until the end of the year.

Speaking about her son Harvey, 19, she said: “Harvey is in Cheltenham now.

“He keeps calling me and says, ‘Mom, I miss you, I need kisses and cuddles,’ so it’s pretty hard because of course I won’t get my driver’s license back until December so I can’t just drive down there whiz and it’s not nearby. “

Ms. Price’s family said on Instagram that they would pass on messages of support and love to them.

“We are deeply concerned and concerned about her, we know that she lives her life publicly and is fair game for many, but as a family we hope that she can privately advance her way through this very difficult phase of her life.” Statement continued.

“We’re not asking for pity – just to be recognized that Kate is not well.

“We feel very comforted as we read the messages of support and love for Kate that we will pass on to her in the hope that these positive messages will spur her on.

“It takes great strength to recognize that you need help. We hope that Kate has now opened the door to learn to love yourself and be happy inside. Mental illness is not a personal failure. “
