A car fire blocked part of the A31 in Surrey on Tuesday afternoon (October 5th).
The incident occurred between the junction with Puttenham Heath Road (B300) and the Guildford and Godalming Bypass.
Traffic and Travel Service Inrix reported at 5:30 pm: “A31 to the east closed due to a fire from A3 to High View Road. Traffic copes well. There is no access to Down Lane in the direction of Guildford.”

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for more information. According to Inrix, the road was opened again shortly before 7 a.m.
