Several people were injured in a car accident in the York hospital.
The police were called at 9:34 a.m. – after reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle in the hospital parking lot – the car then crashed into the wall of the pharmacy building.
The driver and the motorcyclist as well as two women in the pharmacy are said to have been slightly injured.
The car park is closed while the emergency services are on duty.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police said: “Police were contacted this morning (Wednesday October 13, 2021) at 9:34 am with a report of a collision between a car and a motorcycle in the York Hospital parking lot. The car had then driven on against the wall of the pharmacy building.
As of this writing, the information we have available suggests that the injuries are minor. The motorist and the motorcyclist are currently being treated. Two women who were in the pharmacy building at the time are said to have sustained minor injuries – one with cuts and scratches and one with a possibly broken arm.
The parking lot has been closed so that rescue workers can take care of and recover the vehicle.
The officers are conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.
