The vehicle of a driver who allegedly drove antisocial was seized by Gwent Police in Rhymney.
The incident occurred in the Bryn Carno neighborhood on Tuesday evening (November 2) after officers responded to a call.
The vehicle was in the Byrn Carno and was confiscated by the police.
A statement on the Gwent Police Department’s Caerphilly Borough Officers Twitter account said: “#BargoedNPT responded to a call about a vehicle that was driven in an antisocial manner in the BrynCarno area of Rhymney tonight. The vehicle was found underneath Section 59 found and confiscated. ”
Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 states on the Kent Police website: “A uniformed police officer has reasonable grounds to believe that a motor vehicle is being used on any occasion in a manner contrary to Section 3 or 34 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 (negligent and reckless driving and prohibition of off-road driving) and causing or likely to cause alarm, distress or anger in public, a police officer in uniform has the authority to order the person driving to stop the vehicle seize and remove, enter any property (other than an apartment) on which the officer has reasonable grounds to believe the motor vehicle is located and, if necessary, use reasonable force to do so. ”
