Police have arrested a suspected car thief who rammed two panda cars after cornering him at a gas station in the city center.
Officials on patrol discovered the stolen VW Golf – which was picked up during a break-in in Staffordshire on October 26 – in a garage in Holloway Head, Birmingham, at 10:15 p.m. Thursday (November 4).
Police tried to stop it in the forecourt, but the driver pushed past them, damaged several gas pumps and sped away, police said.

After a brief chase, the vehicle was stopped near the O2 Academy and a 31-year-old man was arrested.

A hammer was found in the glove compartment and several packs of Class A drugs were found in the passenger seat.
The Birmingham suspect was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, property damage, theft of a car, possession of an assault weapon and drug delivery. He remains in police custody.
West Midlands Police said the VW Golf is believed to have been used in a robbery on Lawrence Road, Birmingham on Wednesday (November 3rd) when a van was stolen.
