A driver has shared dashcam footage that appears to show a Devon and Cornwall police car shaving itself thoroughly while driving on a motorway in the wet.
The driver claims he almost “got off the road” because the vehicle that reported him almost cut him open in the fast lane.
He was driving the M74 towards Glasgow at around 10:30 am today when a police car drifted off the outside lane far from home.

The force has sent 240 officers to Scotland to oversee the COP26 climate change summit in Glasgow.
The driver, who does not want to be named, posted the video on his Twitter account @Urban_Pictures.
The clip shows the car, owned by the Devon and Cornwall Police, initially in the “slow” lane and pointing to the right.
It turns into the center lane of the freeway less than a car’s length in front of the other driver’s car as spray is thrown up from the wet road around it.
The car then appears to be accelerating slightly and, while it is still pointing to the right, tries to merge into the inside lane apparently only a few meters away from the other vehicle.
Just as it seems to collide, the brake lights of the police car go on and it corrects itself briefly and sharply to the left to the sound track of the people’s horn.
The police car races off and overtakes and flashes its blues at the very end of the clip.
The man posted the video on Twitter and said, “Not quite the standard of driving I would expect @DC_Police, your officers almost drove me off the road.
“I guess they’re up here for # COP26. Taken M74, Glasgow, this morning (November 6th).”

The tweet drew some criticism, with one Twitter user claiming he had taken “very little defensive measures”.
In response, the driver said: “I disagree. The turn signal was switched on to change from lane 1 to lane 2.
“There was no expectation that I (the driver) should expect the car * also * to drive directly into lane 3, especially with me there.”
Devon and Cornwall Police have been contacted with a response to the video footage.
