Two drivers were hospitalized following an accident in Glasgow in which a car went up in flames.
Rescue workers were called to the accident involving two vehicles on Carntyne Road at the intersection with Ruchazie Road in the east of the city at around 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
Images and videos shared online show flames and smoke emanating from one of the cars involved.
Smoke rose from one of the cars involved in the collision.

A fire department spokesman confirmed that a device had been sent to the scene and that the emergency services had put out the fire.
A local resident, David Lindsay, told the Record, “I heard a loud bang and looked out my door as I stayed on Haymarket Street on the side of Ruchazie Road on Carntyne Road and there was smoke everywhere. I walked around the corner to see what happened and the car was on fire.
“I hope everybody is fine.”

A police spokesman for Scotland said: “We were called to a report of a two car accident on Carntyne Road at the junction with Ruchazie Road in Glasgow at around 3:15 pm on Friday 12 November.
“The ambulance service was present. Two men, the drivers, were taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The vehicles were recovered. “
It is assumed that the motorists were not seriously injured.
