Shadow Health Secretary Jonathan Ashworth calls health and care bill “Care Con”
Boris Johnson faces a Tory rebellion over his proposed changes to the Health and Care Act.
The prospect of an embarrassing decline in parliament came when the prime minister defended a lengthy speech he had earlier given Monday to business leaders at the CBI in which he lost his train of thought, made car engine noises and a tangent over the Peppa. made pig world theme park.
Then asked by a reporter: “To be honest, is everything okay?
Critics suggested that after weeks of allegations and shady decisions – including the Owen Paterson controversy – the speech did little to allay Conservative concerns about Mr Johnson’s leadership. BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg quoted a senior source on Downing Street as saying, “There are many concerns in the building about the Prime Minister … it just doesn’t work.”

EU countries hold immigration talks with Great Britain “out of frustration”, says Priti Patel
Individual EU countries are negotiating with Great Britain “out of frustration” over immigration agreements with the leaders of the bloc, claimed Priti Patel.
In a speech in the House of Commons, the Interior Minister described immigration as an “EU competence problem at the moment”.
“We are discussing in such a way that this would not actually make the Commission happy, but with France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Italy and Greece and, as of today, also with Poland, and there are other countries where” we lead active discussions and I think that’s really important.
“They are talking to us out of their own frustration with a lack of progress in addressing broader long-term and long-term problems related to illegal migration, returns and admissions. These are issues that are currently of great concern to all governments. “
When the UK was in the EU, it signed the Dublin Agreement, which allows member countries to return asylum seekers to the first safe country they can reach.

Fund London’s trains if you want to boost UK trade, the government said
The government has been told to stop neglecting London’s trains if Britain is to strengthen its status as a global trading center.
London’s transport network must be “adequately funded” if the city is to advance the government’s global trade agenda, said Catherine McGuinness, chairwoman of the City of London Cooperation.
As the country’s main service hub, the city needs an infrastructure that is “not in decline, managed or otherwise,” she added when speaking at a trade conference organized by the Center for Policy Studies in London’s Guildhall on Monday.

“Outrageous” Patel accuses Scotland of falling short in the migrant crisis
Priti Patel has told MEPs’ regions in all four UK nations that they must “play their part” in providing accommodation to asylum seekers, and in particular accuses Scotland of failing to do so.
It came during the weekly questions from the Home Secretary in the House of Commons where the SNP Home Affairs spokesman Stuart C. McDonald asked, “Why does the Home Office still place asylum seekers in unsuitable hotels in unsuitable locations, without even a local resident to notify? Authority, let alone obtain their consent? “
Ms Patel responded by saying that local authorities across the country “and in Scotland in particular have played their part in actually providing evacuation shelters”. She then told Mr McDonald that he “should be ashamed to come into this house and stress this point when the Scottish Government has done absolutely nothing to lift a finger to actually support the resolution adjustment policy”.
Mr McDonald hit back and told the board that this was “one of the most outrageous responses”. [Ms Patel] has ever existed ”.
However, the Home Secretary refused to back down, saying the government would “not give lectures on bypassing democracy or local councils on this side of the house.”
She added: “For the record, 31 local authorities out of 32 local authorities in Scotland have refused to participate in the distribution program, so I would tell him and all of the members of the House that if there are changes in asylum accommodation, the whole of the UK must change.” and make your contribution. “

Britain will not suspend Article 16 until Christmas, the minister says
Let’s get a Brexit update now as Trade Secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan says Britain will not “absolutely not” suspend the Northern Ireland Protocol before Christmas.
