A motorist who has only been driving for seven months had his car confiscated on Middleton Road in Blackley after reaching 55 mph at a top speed of 50 km / h.
According to a spokesman for the Greater Manchester Police’s Special Constabulary, which was enforcing the speed limit in the area at the time, one of the person’s antisocial driving skills was “getting his engine up to speed.”
He had previously received a warning about his driving in June of this year.
The incident was reported on the official Twitter account of the Greater Manchester Police Special Constabulary @GMPSpecials this evening at 10:21 pm with the following post: “A 7 month old driver was confiscated on Saturday by our @GMPSpecials for anti-social driving that set the speed limit on #MiddletonRoad @GMPBlackley enforced.
