All the wedding fairs coming to Oxfordshire in 2022

Your wedding day is one of the biggest in your life and it can quickly become overwhelming to plan and organize everything ahead of the big day. With spring in the air, it is the perfect time to round up all the wedding fairs coming to and near Oxfordshire so that you can get ahead of the wedding jitters.

A wedding fair (also called a wedding fayre) is a public event that brings together suppliers in the wedding industry who showcase what they can offer. They are usually a one stop shop for all the celebratory essentials such as wedding cars, caterers, gowns, florists and even entertainment.

Though they do take place all year round, they usually occur in low season months such as January, February, September and October. They are also normally located at venues that host weddings so you can get a look into potential venues as well.

Holland’s Farm Weddings and Events – May 14

Located in Great Milton, this wedding fair is one of the only ones happening before summer so it is perfect for any of you who are planning a summer wedding and need some last-minute items. Open from 11am to 4pm, once you get added to the guest list you will receive a free glass of fizz!

In the countryside, at this fair you will also be able to scope out this idyllic venue that could provide you with a peaceful, rural setting to your big day. With gazebos in the warm months, this can be a great place for an outdoor wedding.

The Crazy Bear Hotel – September 4th

The quirky Crazy Bear will definitely offer a location different to others, this is a great opportunity to scope out this eccentric venue as well as sample their canapes and drinks. There will be staff available to show you around the venue. Open from 11am to 3pm, there will be a free gift for any of those who pre-register for the event. The interiors are dramatic and the gardens full of character.

DoubleTree by Hilton Oxford Belfry – September 4

Free admission at the Hilton with a bucks fizz on arrival, you will also get a goody bag at this wedding fair. This four-star hotel is located in 17 acres of grounds. They offer you an insight into how a wedding at DoubleTree will look. Open from 11am to 2pm, there isn’t a large window to soak up this fair. You can expect classic cars, cakes and handmade stationary among other wedding items that you may want for your big day.

Milton Hill House – September 25

This year will be Milton Hill House’s first fair since 2019. It is located in Steventon, near Didcot, Abingdon and Wantage. Open from 11am to 3pm, there is the possibility of receiving a free gift if you pre-register. Set in 22 acres of parkland, this is a Georgian manor house that boasts modern facilities and landscaped gardens.

The Chesterton Hotel-October 2

On the edge of Bicester, the Chesterton is a stylish Cotswold boutique hotel with three acres of countryside. This event has free admission and an opening time from 11am to 3pm. The hotel’s website describes itself as “Refined, Sophisticated, Smart And Simple, Yet Luxurious And Provocative, All At The Same Time.” Experienced in weddings the team at this hotel will be able to ensure a smooth and stress-free celebration.

Voco Oxford Thames – October 30

This riverside hotel is located just outside Oxford and boasts a spa as well as a variety of reception rooms. The wedding fair will take place in The Little barn and the River Room and Conservatory which has beautiful views of the Thames. Open from 11am to 3pm, the fair is free to attend and the bride will receive a complimentary information pack on arrival. With a rustic stone exterior but modern interior, this venue is the perfect blend between a rural countryside location and a city celebration, since it is so close to Oxford’s city centre.
