Beach goers are cautioned to be careful around Shingle Bank as there is a risk of the car being lifted up by the waves and moving.

A Coast Guard team has been called to the crashed vehicle and has attached a buoy to keep track of where it is moving.

A Sheppey Coastguard spokesman advised, “Please be careful near Shingle Bank in Minster, when you are on the water there is a car by the third buoy.

“This can move with the tide. There is a white buoy attached to it, but it cannot stay in place.”

This is the latest of several similar incidents on the Kent coast.
