A car overturned after crashing into an infamous metal bell.
Police were called to London Road, Strod, this afternoon after a vehicle hit the bollard near Papa John’s Pizza Place.

The car was seen on the side after the metal bell was capped, preventing vehicles from climbing the sidewalk to protect pedestrians at the Gun Lane intersection.
An ambulance was also on site and police tape was placed around the car.
The emergency services have been contacted for further details.
It has damaged and even tipped over a number of cars over the years.
Last year, a driver escaped serious injury after his car collided with the “bell”.
