Castle Street Incident: Salisbury Route Closed After Girl Hit By Car – Live Updates

A busy street in Salisbury city center is currently closed after a young girl was hit by a car this morning (Wednesday January 12).

Police and rescue workers were called to Schlossstrasse around 7.45 a.m. after a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

The teenage girl was rushed to Salisbury District Hospital as ambulance workers remain on-site to investigate the circumstances surrounding the clash.

The road remains closed as police officers advise motorists to find alternative routes in the area. As a result, the neighboring A36 Churchill Way is partially blocked with traffic jams.

A Salisbury Police Department spokesman said: “Officers are currently at the scene of the accident in Salisbury.

“We were called on Castle Street at around 7.45am today after a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

“The patient, a teenage girl, was taken to Salisbury District Hospital by ambulance.

“The road was closed during the emergency services and we would advise people to find alternative routes.”
