A car crashed into a fish and chip shop in Waltham Cross.
A Facebook post on a Waltham Cross and Cheshunt community group featured a picture of a gray Citroen that had broken into the main entrance of the Seaways Fish and Chip store.
The incident took place this afternoon (Friday 26 November) on High Street / Cadmore Lane in downtown Waltham Cross.

The police and fire brigade can be seen on site with witnesses on Facebook who claim that an elderly gentleman drove the vehicle.

The chip shop shows considerable damage, including a completely destroyed shop window.
A photo taken from the scene of the crime shows numerous members of the emergency services and witnesses standing around the scene.
A fire truck with firefighters can be seen helping with the incident. A police chain can also be seen.
Herts police made a statement about the incident, a spokesman said:
“The police were today (Friday, 26.
“A gray Citroen Picasso had collided with a fish and chip shop.
Ambulance was called and a pedestrian was slightly injured.
“The fire brigade was also called as a precaution.
The building suffered structural damage and the vehicle was recovered. “
Comments were also sought from the East of England Fire and Ambulance Services.
