Amanda Kinsella fell off a bus and was subsequently hit by a car. She was flown to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where doctors were trying to save her life.
Tragically, Ms. Kinsella died on the evening of August 13th after medical efforts were unsuccessful.
Originally from Bennekerry, County Carlow, she had recently returned from work in the Middle East.
Her funeral mass was held on Thursday at St. May’s Church Bennekerry.
According to the Irish Mirror, Ms. Kinsella’s brother David said, “Amanda has brightened everyone’s life and that of the community. I never thought I’d be here and say goodbye to her.
“She was a great bluffer when it came to getting jobs, especially summer jobs in the US.
“She feared nothing as long as she was with family and friends.
“It was never easy to say goodbye to her at the airport when she returned to Oman and Bahrain. It was certainly the crème de la crème.
“Last Friday was such a tragedy – it’s hard to believe – but she lived life.

Mrs. Kinsella’s friend, Brendan, took a photo of the couple.
In one of the talks he was described as “the love of her life”.
The mourners were told that Ms. Kinsella had “enlightened the lives of all” and “would live in the hearts of her family every day”.
A relative insisted that Ms. Kinsella wanted those involved in the accident to continue “enjoying life to the fullest”.
They said, “The accident left a huge void in our lives.
“It would have been one of her great wishes in her life that the wedding she attended not be ruined by what happened that day.
“She would never want the man who drove the bus or the driver of the car to get injured.
“She would want her to enjoy life to the fullest.”
