The A444 was closed after a two car accident trapped someone in their car outside the Twycross Zoo.
Leicestershire Police were called to the incident at 1:36 p.m. after the accident near the entrance to the zoo.
The rescue service and the fire brigade were then called to the scene of the accident to help the injured and trapped.
The A444 was blocked and later blocked by the police to give the fire brigade time to remove the trapped person.
The roof of the car was recently removed by the police and fire brigade following the last update.
