Three people were injured in a counterclockwise collision with four vehicles on the M25.
Two out of three lanes were closed due to the incident, while drivers were warned of 25-minute driving delays.
Traffic jams were reported up to the Staines intersection.
The traffic information website Inrix said in a first update: “Two lanes closed and traffic jam due to an accident, two vehicles on the M25 counterclockwise involved in the J12 (M3 junction). Traffic jam on the J13 (Staines). The journey time is 25 minutes . “

Police and ambulance services were on site.
Surrey Police later confirmed three people were lightly injured in a four-vehicle collision.
All lanes were reopened around 4:00 p.m., with residual delays reported until shortly after 5:00 p.m.
