A man faces court charges of property damage and dangerous driving after a viral video shows a telescopic handler throwing a car that was on private farmland.
The 57-year-old man was arrested in connection with the June 5 incident that occurred on a farm near Barnard Castle, County Durham.
A video later surfaced that went viral on social media allegedly showing a yellow telescopic handler lifting a gray hatchback and tipping it on its side.
Durham Police said that a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault in the same incident.
A court date has not yet been set, the police said.
“A 57-year-old man was charged with the crime of property damage and dangerous driving.
“A 20-year-old questioned in connection with an attack during the same incident has been released as part of the investigation while the investigation is ongoing.”
