Marseille is waiting for an offer from West Ham for Duje Caleta-Car, according to a report from L’Equipe (printed August 17, page 2).
Hammers boss David Moyes is obviously keen to strengthen his center-back at the London Stadium this summer.
West Ham has broken off talks with Nikola Milenkovic, while a move to sign Kurt Zouma seems to be back on the agenda (Jacob Steinberg).
Caleta-Car is another name that has also been persistently associated with a move to the London stadium.

Marseille is waiting for a bid from West Ham for Caleta-Car
L’Equipe claim that the Ligue 1 team are keen to advance the Craotia international.
Marseille could be ready to sell Caleta-Car for around £ 14m (L’Equipe). And they allegedly sit back and wait for the Hammers to make a specific offer for the central defender.

The outstanding central defender would be a very smart addition to West Ham.
In 33 Ligue 1 games for Marseille last season, the Croatian scored two goals and provided one assist. In these missions, the Croat achieved an average of 0.9 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 3.9 clearances per game. He also won an average of 2.5 aerial duals per match (who scored).
Caleta-Car is a very strong all-round defender and would improve the Hammers’ backline immeasurably.
However, it remains to be seen whether West Ham will make a concrete offer for the Croat before the transfer window strikes.
