My neighbor wants to install an EV charger but needs a different power category. The route preferred by the utility company is from the substation, through my hedge and under my lawn. I want to be helpful and not get into an argument with my neighbor, but I feel like this puts me in grief. What rights do I have – what if my coverage is broken and how can I make sure that it replaces the damage or compensates me? What if the power supply under my lawn needs repairs at some point? And is there a possibility that I will be liable for any damage? Do I need to take a survey to see what else is there?
