Octopus Electric Vehicles introduces Jaama Key2 software

Octopus Electric Vehicles implemented Jaama’s Key2 asset management software to manage the day-to-day operations of its EV pay victim and business contract rental fleet.

Octopus Electric Vehicles, which operates an all-electric fleet of lease and pay victims in the UK, uses Key2 to run its back office operations from creating quotes by drivers to interacting with remarketing providers for vehicle disposal.

Octopus Electric Vehicles continues to own and operate its front-end customer experience and the option of direct API integration with Jaama’s Key2 platform was a key factor in choosing the solution.

With Octopus’ offering focused on getting its customers into zero-emission cars, Jaama’s offering system now includes more than 500 vehicles to choose from, a number that is increasing daily as OEMs launch new electric models, it said.

Key2 provides a seamless transition between onboarding the driver and managing their in-life requirements from maintenance and MOT to tire and accident management. The Octopus system also provides a number of reports to focus on managing its fleet more efficiently.

Some exciting features are expected to be added to the system later in 2021, including the ability to import EV maintenance data into the system and the ability to allow Octopus to provide integrated insurance quotes.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Jaama’s entire system implementation via MS Teams was successfully carried out during the lockdown in late 2020 / early 2021, with more than 50 employees now actively using Key2, including Superuser and Commercial Operations Director Chris Joyce.

He said, “Key2 is a proven platform and more advanced than its competitors in handling electric vehicles. Its offering for signing electronic documents is impressive, as it is ahead of other solutions, and the Leaselink integration efficiently connects dealers and OEMs for the supply of new vehicles. “

Martin Evans, Managing Director of Jaama added, “We are very proud to announce Octopus as our newest Key2 user. Octopus has some very ambitious plans and we are delighted to have Jaama as our partner for the implementation of these plans in the years to come. “
