A pedestrian has been hospitalized with minor injuries after being hit by a car in Eccles.
Police were called to Barton Road around 6:40 p.m. yesterday evening (July 8) after a collision was reported.
After initial investigations, the officers found that the collision was between a car and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment, according to Greater Manchester Police.
A section of Barton Road was closed on Thursday evening while the incident was cleared.
Motorists heading north at the junction with Liverpool Road were diverted while the incident affected bus traffic in the area.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police Department said: “Officers were called to Barton Road, Eccles, at around 6:40 pm on Thursday (July 8, 2021) to report a collision.
“Officials were present and an investigation revealed that a car and a pedestrian collided.
“The pedestrian was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
“No arrests were made.”
In a Twitter post on Thursday evening at 7:23 pm, a spokesman for Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) wrote: “B5211 Barton Road, Eccles.
“The road is closed to the north at the junction with Liverpool Road.
“Find an alternative route. Follow @DiamondBusNW and @gnwbus (Go North West) for information on bus diversion.”
The incident was resolved on Thursday evening at 8 p.m., TfGM announced on Twitter.
The North West Ambulance Service was not present.
